Job summary

A community sports organization is seeking a candidate for a relief post to support the launch of a junior athletics programme across various locations in Scotland. The successful applicant will be required to work irregular and unsocial hours, including weekends. This position is regulated work with children; therefore, joining the PVG Scheme is necessary. Commitment to quality service delivery and continuous improvement is expected while working in a team setting.

This is a relief post reporting into the Community Sport Team.

Responsibilities

Initially work will be offered to support and deliver the launch of a junior athletics programme in Peterhead, Stonehaven, Banchory (will not be expected to work in all areas).

If programme is successful additional opportunities are expected, including additional hours and an option to deliver during holiday periods.

This post will require working irregular and unsocial hours including weekend working.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
