Designer Parfums is a fast-growing company in the perfume and cosmetics industry, with a UK base and international ambition. Brands we operate include GHOST, JENNIFER LOPEZ, HAWAIIAN TROPIC, CERRUTI, PLAYBOY, GUY LAROCHE, PALOMA PICASSO, and ARIANA GRANDE.

Job Purpose

The Regulatory Officer will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of regulatory compliance for our brands sold globally, including formulation, claims compliance, and artwork approvals. The role involves developing new branded products intended for international launch, ensuring regulatory compliance is met within all target markets, and managing a portfolio for international product registration. The role requires high-level collaboration and clear communication across internal and external partners. The successful candidate will work within the NPD team and report to the Regulatory Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support daily regulatory activities throughout product development, from concept to launch, ensuring global compliance.
  • Provide regulatory expertise during product development, offering technical and formulation‑related guidance to internal teams.
  • Liaise with external manufacturers, suppliers, and compliance agencies to obtain and review formulations, raw material data, testing reports, specifications, certifications, and all required regulatory documentation.
  • Collate, organise, and manage documentation needed for PIF creation and upkeep on SharePoint, ensuring compliance with UK/EU cosmetic regulations.
  • Collect and submit all required materials for Cosmetic Product Safety Assessments (CPSRs), working closely with safety assessors and addressing any queries promptly.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory dossiers and notifications on portals such as CPNP, SCPN, MoCRA, and other international registration systems in line with launch timelines.
  • Coordinate with sales managers and international partners to ensure product registrations are completed ahead of market launch.
  • Provide necessary regulatory documentation and support to B2B customers, retailers, and customer service teams for product launches and compliance queries.
  • Review product artworks, claims, and technical information to ensure they meet global regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor global cosmetic legislation and proactively implement changes to maintain compliance across the product portfolio.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Product, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other internal teams to communicate regulatory requirements and ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Support investigations into quality issues, assisting with regulatory or formulation‑related input when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement of regulatory processes and contribute to building regulatory awareness across the wider business.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 1–2 years’ experience within a similar regulatory or technical role in the cosmetic industry.
  • Knowledge of the cosmetic industry, market trends, EU and/or Global Cosmetic regulations.
  • Logical and enthusiastic approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and adaptability.
