About the Role

We are seeking a Regulatory Interface Officer to join our team and play a key role in managing relationships with regulators and local authorities, ensuring compliance across our operations. This position is critical in supporting regulatory engagements while embedding robust compliance and regulatory arrangements within the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulators, ensuring professional and effective engagement.
  • Coordinate and support regulatory engagements, including preparation of documentation and follow‑up actions.
  • Track and manage regulatory commitments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate reporting.
  • Provide advice and guidance to internal teams on regulatory requirements and compliance processes.
  • Maintain clear records of regulatory interactions and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Support the embedding of management arrangements and assurance processes across the business.
About You
  • Higher education level (or equivalent experience) in engineering, legal, compliance, safety or environmental related discipline.
  • Experience working with regulators and delivering compliance commitments in a highly regulated industry (e.g., energy, nuclear, infrastructure, or environmental sectors).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with experience coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and maintaining compliance records.
  • Analytical ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and advise accordingly.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with UK regulatory bodies such as the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) or Environment Agency.
  • Knowledge of risk management and assurance frameworks.
  • Experience embedding compliance arrangements within large projects or organisations.
  • Practical expertise in collaborative tools such as SharePoint Lists, Power BI, and Power Automate to support workflow design, reporting, and team task tracking.
