Introduction to Rushcliffe Care

Rushcliffe Care Group provides specialist adult social care and healthcare services across the Midlands and South Wales. Our services include mental health hospitals, learning disability services, dementia care, neuro rehabilitation, and specialist environments for people with complex needs. You will be joining a team focused on safe, person centred care and positive outcomes.

Introduction to the Services

This advert covers all Rushcliffe Care Group services. We support individuals with a wide range of needs, including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injury, complex physical health needs, behaviours of concern, and long term conditions. Each service is structured to provide consistent, high quality support with clinical oversight and a strong multidisciplinary approach.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Rushcliffe Care Group, you will deliver high quality clinical care and help create a safe, supportive environment for service users. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to care planning, risk management, and therapeutic support. This role suits both newly qualified nurses who want a supportive first post and experienced nurses who wish to develop further clinical leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering safe, evidence based nursing care and maintaining clear, accurate clinical records.
  • Leading shifts and guiding Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to ensure consistent, high quality care.
  • Contributing to assessments, care plans, and risk management plans.
  • Administering medication safely and in line with policy and NMC standards.
  • Monitoring physical and mental health, responding to changes, and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Supporting service users with dignity, independence, and positive engagement.
  • Promoting a calm, therapeutic environment and ensuring practice reflects our values and regulatory requirements.
  • Working in partnership with families, external professionals, and internal teams to support person centred care.

You will be joining Rushcliffe Care, a company with over 35 years of experience in offering the highest levels of care to our most vulnerable in society. Our values shape how we work: Reputable Care, Respect and Compassion, Robust Communication, and Real Commitment.

About You

We welcome applications from newly qualified nurses, nurses completing preceptorship, and experienced Registered Nurses. You will need:

Qualifications
  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • A compassionate approach and a commitment to high quality care.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Confidence in making clinical decisions appropriate to your level of experience, with support available.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a focus on safe practice.
  • A willingness to complete required training, competency assessments, and ongoing CPD.

Experience in mental health, learning disabilities, neuro rehabilitation, or social care settings is helpful but not essential.
