Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking a Registered Nurse - Imaging to join their team across multiple ambulatory imaging sites. Qualifications

  • Must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily imaging operations including rooming and patient flow.
  • Screen patients for CT and MRI procedures.
  • Establish IV access and manage medi-ports.
  • Administer and monitor medications for imaging studies.
  • Monitor and treat contrast reactions.
  • Support MRI patients with implanted devices.
  • Perform point-of-care testing.
  • Respond to patient emergencies and coordinate care.
  • Educate patients on exam instructions.

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Imaging

Location: Across 4 Ambulatory Imaging Sites within Monroe County

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Monday-Friday with variable Day /Evening hours: no Weekends, no call requirement and no Holidays

SUMMARY

The Ambulatory Imaging RN is a key part of the patient care and imaging workflow. Nurses are trained and competency-validated in specialized skills including medi-port access, MRI safety, and contrast reaction management.

This role provides strong work–life balance, clinical variety, and meaningful professional growth through exposure to multiple ambulatory imaging sites, diverse procedures, and continuous skill development in outpatient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support daily imaging operations (rooming, turnover, stocking, and patient flow)
  • Screen patients for CT and MRI procedures
  • Establish IV access and access/de‑access medi‑ports
  • Administer and monitor medications for imaging and cardiac studies
  • Monitor and treat contrast reactions and other patient events
  • Support MRI patients with implanted cardiac devices
  • Perform point‑of‑care testing (blood glucose, pregnancy tests)
  • Respond to patient emergencies and coordinate transfer to higher levels of care when needed
  • Review charts, communicate with providers, and educate patients on exam instructions
REQUIRED QUAILFICATIONS
  • Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in New York State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Will require obtaining of ACLS within 6 months of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong IV skills preferred
  • Excellent Communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE
