Registered Nurse (Nights)

Location: Bupa Trowbridge Oaks Care Home, West Ashton Road, Trowbridge BA14 6DW

Salary: £17.91 – £20.86 per hour

Contract: 2 × 12‑hour shifts per week (24‑hour contract)

Responsibilities
  • Taking responsibility for the well‑being of our residents and ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
  • Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
  • Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each resident.
  • Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties.
  • Experience ensuring policies and standards are maintained at a high clinical standard.
  • Confidence in providing clinical guidance for care teams and support with all CQC tasks.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills to hand over clinical issues to other team members and health care professionals.
  • When working at night, enhanced critical thinking skills, self‑reliance and the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in an emergency.
