Responsibilities
  • Taking responsibility for the well‑being of our residents and ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
  • Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
  • Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each resident.
  • Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties.
  • Previous experience ensuring policies and standards are maintained to a high clinical standard.
  • Confidence in offering clinical guidance to care teams, crucial for all CQC tasks.
  • A trusted member who builds connections with residents and their families, offering kindness and support.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills for handover of clinical issues.
  • Strong critical thinking, confident and self‑reliant, able to manage care staff and remain calm in emergencies.
