Children’s Home Registered Manager

Location: Acocks Green, Birmingham

Salary: £60,000 pa plus bonuses

Working Hours: Full-time

Service: Children’s Home

Service Users: Young People (EBD, Complex Care)

Home: 4 Beds, to be run as 3 Bed

Qualifications Required: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to start within 6 months of employment

Experience in Years: At least 2 years in residential childcare, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years

Essential Requirements and Experience
  • Passion: Commitment to making a positive impact on young people’s lives
  • Experience: At least 2 years in residential childcare, including 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to enrol within 6 months
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements
  • Skills: Leadership, planning, organising, and budget control
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour
  • Driving License: Full UK required
