Job summary

A regional educational organization is seeking a Regional Youth Tutor to empower young individuals through tailored tutoring and training. Salary banding: £24,638 to £26,780

Location: Bridgend, Port Talbot, Neath and Swansea

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 16:30pm

About the role

As a Youth Tutor, you will work closely with students to provide individualised tutoring sessions, support their learning needs and inspire them to achieve their potential. You will deliver training sessions using a variety of teaching methods, develop creative lesson plans, plan and support the learner in their individual learning journey, and help learners achieve qualifications to a high standard in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver training sessions using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support, and motivate learners.
  • Develop creative lesson plans incorporating differentiated teaching styles and activities for quality learning experiences.
  • Plan and support learners in their individual learning journey.
  • Support learners to achieve their qualifications to a quality standard in a timely fashion.
Essential Qualifications
  • Previous experience working as a tutor, trainer, or mentor for young people.
  • Previous experience working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) individuals.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification or a degree equivalent.
  • Good level of Maths and English GCSE C, Level 5 or above.
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and support young people in a learning environment.
  • Ability to plan lessons, assess learner progress, and provide feedback effectively.
Desirable Qualifications
  • PGCE, PCET or equivalent teaching/training qualification.
  • Experience teaching a vocational subject.
