We are looking for a regional Process Scientist focussing on optimising chemical use while maintaining compliance.

As a Regional Process Scientist, you will work across the business, focusing on providing technical support on chemicals used as part of our treatment processes. This includes training, optimisation and technical support for the operations teams and process scientists.

We are seeking a flexible, self‑motivated and practical individual who works well with others across a range of scenarios and is confident undertaking on‑site work independently when required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, enabling them to advise on the safe handling and practical aspects of chemical dosing, along with a solid understanding of wastewater treatment processes and their implications for compliance and operations.
Knowledge of the chemicals used in wastewater treatment, including suppliers and applications, would be beneficial, along with practical experience in assessing the effectiveness of different chemicals for their specified application.
This role will require good communication skills to provide clear guidance on the reasoning behind the recommendations you are providing to a range of audiences, from personnel on the ground to Scientists to the Senior Leadership team.
Ideally, you will hold a degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or a related science discipline, with experience working with chemicals in the water or chemical industry. Strong numerical skills are required for calculating dose rates, costs and potential savings, alongside a good understanding of COSHH and safe working practices when working with chemicals.
You should be able to adapt to changing priorities and manage your workload effectively.
