The Recruitment Lead is responsible for end-to-end recruitment of skilled and semi-skilled engineering workforce across blue-collar roles. This includes sourcing, screening, hiring, and workforce planning for technicians, operators, tradespeople, and site-based engineering staff. The role requires deep understanding of trade skills, labour markets, compliance, and high-volume hiring in engineering and pharmaceutical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for blue-collar engineering roles including: Technicians, electricians, fitters, Telehandler Operators, and site engineers
- Manage high-volume and project-based hiring for engineering, construction, manufacturing, utilities, and industrial sites
- Conduct skill-based screening, trade assessments, and interview coordination
- Partner with hiring managers and site supervisors to define workforce needs
- Build and maintain talent pipelines through: Trade schools, and vocational institutes. Job portals, labour contractors, referrals, and local networks
- Develop recruitment strategies for hard-to-hire and remote site roles
- Organize walk-in drives, job fairs, and campus hiring initiatives
Workforce Planning & Stakeholder Management
- Forecast manpower requirements aligned with project timelines
- Coordinate mobilization, onboarding, and site deployment
- Act as the primary recruitment contact for engineering, operations, and project teams
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, certifications, licenses, and safety requirements
- Oversee background verification, trade certifications, and statutory documentation
- Maintain accurate recruitment data and reporting
- Lead and mentor recruiters and recruitment coordinators
- Set hiring targets, KPIs, and performance standards for the recruitment team
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 5–10 years of recruitment experience with strong focus on engineering hiring
- Proven experience in industries such as: Date Centres, Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure, Pharmaceutical
- Strong understanding of trade skills, shop-floor roles, and site-based operations
- Experience managing high-volume, time-bound hiring
