The role of the Quantity Surveyor is to play an active supporting part in the various commercial activities associated with a project and in conformity with company procedures as laid down from time to time.

The Project

The £260m major mixed‑use scheme will provide 91 private apartments and 30 affordable and shared ownership apartments within two blocks rising to 11 storeys, which sit over the new commercial space and parking provision on the lower ground floors.

Located in the heart of Kings Cross, sandwiched between the Regent’s Canal, St Pancras Hospital and providing 30,000sqft of new purpose‑built co‑working office space, alongside 121 new homes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Compliance with and assistance in helping promote the Health and Safety policy.
  • Provide support to the Project Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor and Managing Quantity Surveyor.
  • Assistance with the procurement of Sub‑Contractors; Consultants and Suppliers.
  • Contribution to the analysis of Sub‑Contractors; Consultants and Suppliers tender returns.
  • Subject to the prior approval of the Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor and in accordance with company contractual arrangements, authorise payments in respect of interim and final applications for payment from Sub‑Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers.
  • Preparation, coordination, and processing of labour only payments.
  • Carry out building work take‑offs, measurement and scheduling exercises and preparation of bills of quantities for the procurement and sub‑letting processes.
