Job description

A growing and well‑established manufacturing business is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and develop site‑wide quality systems in a fast‑paced production environment. This role will suit a hands‑on, lead‑from‑the‑front quality professional with strong systems knowledge and a passion for driving standards, compliance, and continuous improvement. Reporting into senior operations, you'll take ownership of the Quality Management System, lead and develop a small quality team, and work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain to set expectations, challenge standards, and embed a strong quality culture across the site. In return, the business offers a salary circa £65,000, long‑term career development, and the opportunity to play a key role during an exciting phase of growth.

Quality Manager Responsibilities Include
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving quality systems, documentation, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and regulatory expectations.
  • Leading internal and external audits, corrective actions, and quality improvement activities.
  • Using data‑driven insights to identify trends, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Managing supplier quality performance, including assessments and ongoing development.
  • Training, coaching, and actively engaging teams on the shop floor to strengthen quality awareness across the site.
Quality Manager desirable skills and experience
  • Experience in a Quality Manager, Quality Lead, or Senior Quality Engineer role.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing, problem‑solving, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead from the front, influence stakeholders, and hold teams to account while building a quality‑first culture.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Confident using quality tools, data analysis methods, and performance reporting.
