Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team based at our site in Kingswinford.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure product and process compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes using core quality tools.
  • Develop and maintain key quality metrics (KPIs) and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct and support audits, including ISO, customer, and internal audits.
  • Support the compliance of the company’s Integrated Management Systems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality performance and implement supplier development programs.
  • Participate in design reviews, process validation activities, and ECN (Engineering Change Notification) process.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen events.
Skills and qualifications
  • Internal / Lead Auditor in ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge and adherence to ISO 9001.
  • Quality with quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques (8D, 5-Why, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to quality improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Resilient / determined to see things through.
  • Good at planning & organising.
  • Good at building partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality management and auditing processes.
  • Knowledge of metrology and measurement techniques.
  • ISO 45001.
  • ISO 13485.
  • FDA Part 820.
  • ISO 14001.
  • Internal / Lead Auditor in ISO 14001 & 45001.
  • Medical device regulatory experience or qualification (ISO 13485).
  • Six Sigma – Green or Black Belt.
