Qualifications

Job description

Oliver James are representing a leading Life insurance company who require a senior qualified Life Actuary to support all actuarial activities. You are joining a small function so will be able to have a genuine business impact.

This is a part time role (3 days per week) and requires 1 day per week in the office in Gloucestershire. The company is very flexible with an extremely collaborative internal culture.

Salary: £100-120k base (pro-rata) depending on experience.

You will work directly with Chief Actuary and other senior stakeholder to support:

- Technical actuarial work - Reserving

- Operational services - Risk/compliance/operational resilience

- Commercial activities - product and business development.

The business is looking for an experienced qualified actuary who has good broad experience across all actuarial disciplines. You will need a strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.

Experience

  • Qualified Actuary, 15+ years experience (more experience is absolutely welcome)
  • Ideally experience across all actuarial functions in a Life Insurer - reserving, risk and pricing/product development.
  • Strong commuication skills and confidence taking on responsibilities in a small team.
