A leading Life insurance company is seeking a Senior Qualified Life Actuary for a part-time role (3 days a week) primarily in Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will support a variety of actuarial activities, including technical work, operational services, and commercial development. With 15+ years of actuarial experience necessary, strong communication skills, and business acumen, this position offers the opportunity to have a significant impact within a small team environment.
Oliver James are representing a leading Life insurance company who require a senior qualified Life Actuary to support all actuarial activities. You are joining a small function so will be able to have a genuine business impact.
This is a part time role (3 days per week) and requires 1 day per week in the office in Gloucestershire. The company is very flexible with an extremely collaborative internal culture.
Salary: £100-120k base (pro-rata) depending on experience.
You will work directly with Chief Actuary and other senior stakeholder to support:
- Technical actuarial work - Reserving
- Operational services - Risk/compliance/operational resilience
- Commercial activities - product and business development.
The business is looking for an experienced qualified actuary who has good broad experience across all actuarial disciplines. You will need a strong business acumen and excellent communication skills.
