A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk. This role offers valuable experience in a busy manufacturing finance environment and the chance to develop your skills while contributing to the smooth running of our accounts payable processes.

What you’ll be doing

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will:

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and ensure payments are made on time to take advantage of discounts.
  • Support the cashier functions, including internet payments, printing bank statements, and processing manual cheques.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with BACS payments, petty cash, urgent cheque processing, month‑end, and GRN clearing.
  • Manage credit card processing and help ensure the general ledger balances at month‑end.
  • Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed, gaining broad exposure to finance operations in a manufacturing environment.
