Purpose of Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Proposals Manager to join our team based in Rainham

Job Description

This role will be key in driving business growth by leading the development of compelling, customer-focused bids and proposals, ranging from £500K to £5 million.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of bids and proposals, from initial capture planning through to submission.
  • Work closely with operational, commercial, and technical teams to gather input and produce winning content.
  • Develop high-quality written proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.
  • Coordinate and lead proposal planning meetings, setting clear timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify win themes, value propositions, and innovative solutions tailored to each client.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and professionalism across all bid documents and presentations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes, templates, and best practices.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Proven experience of managing and writing bids and proposals in the construction or facilities management sector.
  • Strong track record of securing contracts valued up to £5 million.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear, persuasive, client-focused content.
  • Strong project management, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confident working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
