Ponticelli UK Ltd are looking fora highly independent, commercially astute professional responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex, multi-disciplinary tenders and proposals across Ponticelli UK’s work streams in line with the company strategy. This role requires the ability to deliver compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals with minimal supervision, demonstrating advanced stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

  • Independently lead the preparation, compilation, and submission of high-quality proposals and tender documentation in response to client invitations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company strategy.
  • Analyse tender documents and client specifications to identify requirements, risks, opportunities, and win them to Tender and Proposals Manager and Senior Management Team.
  • Develop and articulate clear value propositions and commercial models tailored to client needs whilst meeting company strategy.
  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end proposal process, engaging with technical, operations, finance, supply chain, and business development teams to gather and integrate multi-disciplinary input.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, escalating risks or delays only when necessary.
  • Maintain and continuously improve proposal templates, knowledge libraries, and supporting materials to drive efficiency and consistency.
  • Develop cost estimation and pricing activities, ensuring commercial competitiveness and risk mitigation.
  • Present and defend proposals to senior management and clients as required, as well as lead post-submission activities, including clarifications, negotiations, and contract handover.
Profile

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • Essential: Qualification in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Essential: Proven track record of independently delivering winning proposals in the Energy, Renewables or related industry sectors, ideally across multiple work streams (e.g., engineering, construction, maintenance, decommissioning).
  • Essential: Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary bids with minimal supervision.
  • Desirable: Training in bid/proposal management or project management.
  • Desirable: Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary input to bids or tenders.

Job Specific Knowledge:

  • Essential: Understanding of proposal development processes, bid compliance, and commercial considerations.
  • Essential: Knowledge of MS Office Suite and document formatting.Essential: Strong commercial awareness, including risk analysis, pricing strategies, and contract negotiation.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with client procurement processes and portals.
