A leading care and housing organization in the UK is seeking a proactive Property Officer (Compliance) to ensure high standards of safety, compliance, and quality in its properties. This role involves managing contractors, overseeing health and safety compliance across various workstreams, and supporting the operational staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in property maintenance, knowledge of relevant legislation, and strong communication skills. Qualifications

  • Experience in property maintenance with multi-site responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and property compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and deliver value-for-money services.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support dispersed teams.
  • Experience with care homes or social housing stock.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor contractors and suppliers for maintenance and compliance.
  • Provide technical support and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee compliance programmes across fire safety, electrical, and asbestos.
  • Ensure health and safety requirements and regulatory standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory purposes.
