About the role

Are you ready to lead planning excellence and make a real impact? We’re looking for a skilled Project Planner to join our National Gas Services (NGS) programme and planning team, ensuring efficient, cost-effective resource planning and clear visibility of utilisation across all levels. This is a key role in supporting the successful delivery of our capital plan and operational goals.

You’ll play a vital part in shaping planning processes, driving performance, and supporting strategic decisions.

What you’ll be doing
  • Managing end-to-end planning processes, including critical path analysis, earned value management, and risk mitigation.
  • Providing monthly analysis and reporting to the Programme Lead, identifying opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
  • Using digital planning tools to manage timelines, resources, and performance data.
  • Driving continuous improvement and represent NGS in key stakeholder engagements.
  • Ensuring contractor programme compliance and support scenario mapping for strategic decision‑making.
About you

You’ll be a proactive planner with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced environment, have a keen eye for detail, and be confident using digital tools to deliver accurate, actionable insights. Collaboration and continuous improvement will be second nature to you.

Key requirements & experience
  • Competent in cost‑loaded programme management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Experience using planning tools or software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or other recognised project planning systems) – desirable
  • Full UK car driving licence
