Job description

Planform Architects are looking for Project Architects with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience to join our ambitious creative team based in Glasgow city centre.

Planform Architects specialise in various forms of residential accommodation from mainstream housing to special needs accommodation. Most of our projects are new build and we provide clients with a proactive quality service from project inception through to construction completion. Through good design we aim to create high quality spaces that exceed client and user expectations.

The Job:

  • The successful applicants will have relevant recent UK experience and will be proactive professionals with a drive to deliver high-quality and innovative project outcomes within the financial constraints.
  • We work closely with clients, contractors, and other consultants within wider multi-disciplinary teams. Being approachable, professional and confident in communication is key to the role.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable because you will be required to attend site meetings as part of your involvement in our projects across Scotland.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • ARB registered with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience of all RIBA project stages from inception to completion.
  • Portfolio should demonstrate creative design ability and strong technical knowledge.
  • Experience of contract administration and capable of managing projects through all RIBA work stages.
  • Excellent working knowledge of current Scottish Planning Policies, Building Regulations and Technical Standards.
  • Strong working understanding of CDM Regulations and best practice,
  • Capable of producing high quality planning, building warrant and construction information packages, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, Scottish Planning Policies, Building Regulations and other standards.
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive in-house team environment.
  • Capable of liaising effectively with other consultants in wider multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and contractors, to ensure delivery of projects that meet clients’ requirements.
  • Proficient in working with AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Sketchup and VRay.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
