An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager (Compliance) within the Capital Projects Team. The Programme Manager (Compliance) will be responsible for the successful day‑to‑day management of all programme governance arrangements and the interface between the Programme and hospitals Estates Team. Working under the direction of the Programme Director, you will ensure project governance systems are in place and that all project processes are followed, establishing and overseeing efficient project administrative systems aligned with all Trust policies and procedures to deliver a compliant and professional project delivery service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Successful day‑to‑day management of programme governance arrangements and liaison with the hospital Estates Team.
  • Support Design Teams with Requests for Information and maintain close working relationships with the Hospital Impact Project Manager.
  • Supervise internal and external advisers and specialists as required.
  • Exercise delegated budget control over specific capital budgets, potentially totaling multiple million pounds across several years.
  • Ensure project governance systems are in place and all project processes are followed.
  • Establish and oversee efficient administrative systems aligned with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Deliver capital programmes and projects as defined by business needs, from feasibility through business case approval, detailed design, construction and handover to end users.
  • Manage compliance across the entire programme, working closely with programme team members.
  • Develop annual capital plans, provide monthly reporting on actual spend and full‑year forecasts in collaboration with the Capital Finance Team.
  • Hold overall responsibility for the project and programme risks relating to the allocated portfolio.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, influencing, persuading and negotiating effectively at all levels.
