Production Technician – Mon to Fri Day Shift

Join hireful as a Production Technician in a pioneering marine engineering company designing and manufacturing high-performance diesel outboard engines. This role is a full‑time day shift (8:00‑16:30) in Lewes, East Sussex.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble, test, and prepare engines, gearboxes, and mechanical assemblies to the highest standards.
  • Follow established procedures and record accurate build data.
  • Support continuous improvement and help ensure products leave the workshop meeting all quality, safety and performance expectations.
Qualifications
  • Experience in mechanical assembly – ideally with engines or similar systems.
  • Solid understanding of internal combustion engines (diesel & petrol).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use diagnostic/test equipment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident with hand tools and production equipment.
  • Team‑focused, reliable, adaptable and safety‑driven.
  • Bonus: Level 3 engineering qualifications, automotive or marine experience, or knowledge of continuous improvement practices.
