Human Resources Advisor @ Inspired Global Cuisine

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday from 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00

Salary: £13.84 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Inspired Global Cuisine (IGC) are a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Gorton, East Manchester. We have grown significantly over the last two years, currently producing more than 1 million meals a week, and we plan to double our volume with a relocation to a new 369 thousand square‑foot site in Chadderton, Oldham, early 2026.

Job Description

Responsible for the smooth running of the production line to meet production targets while promptly recognising and rectifying errors, driving improvement, and leading and motivating the team. Ensure all personnel are appropriately trained and follow procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain smooth operation of production lines to meet targets while upholding high health, safety and food safety standards.
  • Accurately record line information to guarantee full traceability.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to maximise efficiency and minimise cost.
  • Complete quality control checks.
  • Minimise line downtime and waste.
  • Provide on‑the‑job training to line operatives.
  • Have a good understanding of line machinery.
  • Plan people and resource needs.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally, escalating issues and handling handovers.
  • Proactively spot line issues and use initiative to solve problems or escalates to production management when necessary.

  • Knowledge and experience in food manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to speak up.
  • Driven to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Proactive team player who leads by example and treats all with respect.
  • Strong emphasis on safety and maintaining food quality.
