Overview

Manpower is recruiting for a temporary Production Operative to work for our client, based in Musselburgh. You will work within the factory on the production line packing food products, cleaning equipment and completing some general warehousing duties. Please note that this is initially a temporary role but could lead to a longer term booking for the right candidate based on performance and experience.

Hours and Benefits

• Monday to Friday
• Dayshift 07:30 - 16:00 (15:00 finish on a Friday)
• £12.21 Per Hour - Weekly Pay!

Duties involved

As a Production Operative, your main responsibilities will include:

• Checking products for quality on the production line and removing defective items
• Keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels
• Loading products to pallets for distribution
• Picking and Packing orders
• May be some heavy lifting involved loading products onto pallets
• Tidying and general housekeeping of Warehouse and Production areas

The ideal candidate will have:

• Good observational skills to spot defective products
• Patience to carry out repetitive tasks
• Ability to work quickly to meet production targets
• Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own
• Ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures
• All applicants ideally must have at least 6 months experience in a food production or warehousing position.
