  • Act as the main contact for manufacturing engineering activities, contributing to project planning, cost reviews, and progress updates.
  • Lead tendering and re-quoting for new and existing assembly and engineering projects.
  • Manage new product introductions, ensuring tooling, machinery, and processes are in place from project launch.
  • Advise engineering on design concepts and specifications to maximise the use of equipment and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Monitor operations for compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Support leadership excellence by contributing to the recruitment, retention, and development of technical and management talent.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering expertise to expand business capabilities and opportunities.
  • Ensure testing is carried out at all production stages, troubleshoot issues, and drive effective solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, ISO standards, and company procedures, while promoting safe working practices.
  • Conduct customer visits and technical discussions on engineering projects.
  • Carry out additional duties as required to support the success of operations.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a production, manufacturing, or operations management role, ideally within electronics, electrical, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, methods, and best practices, including lean principles and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Experience managing new product introductions, including tooling, machinery, and process implementation.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory/safety compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills with experience in recruiting, developing, and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work cross-functionally with sales, commercial, quality, and engineering teams.
