Job description

CRFS are looking for a Production Assembly Technician to join their manufacturing team.

Reporting to the Node Production Manager, the Production Assembly Technician will be part of a team building world-leading radio spectrum monitoring products designed by CRFS, assembling customer-ready systems, sub-assemblies and parts of varying complexity. Focusing on delivering high quality, low volume, product the Production Assembly Technician will have the opportunity to contribute to process and product improvement in a growing business.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the following, including but not limited to:

  • Preparation and building of light electromechanical assemblies.
  • Occasional manufacture, including soldering, of custom parts/cables. RF and electrical testing of manufactured parts using automated test software.
  • Updating work records and schedules.
  • Occasional picking of component kits and stock management.
  • Maintaining a clean work area, ensuring processes and procedures are followed.
  • Assisting with other tasks to improve productivity, quality and safety as required.


Requirements

  • Be efficient, precise and consistent in completing assembly work to high-quality standards compliant with ISO9001.
  • Have attention to detail and be able to understand and follow mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and other documentation.
  • Be a friendly and hard-working team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Be comfortable and flexible in working effectively both alone and in a team to meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate with at least a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Other beneficial, but not essential, skills

  • Some experience of RF testing would be advantageous
