Production Apprenticeship - Level 3 - BBC Sport NI - Belfast
As a Production apprentice at the BBC you will learn on the job, developing your knowledge and skills in an area that interests you, while working toward your apprenticeship qualification with a recognised training provider.
Depending on your placement area you could be working behind the scenes on exciting productions, from gripping dramas to the thrill of live radio, and gain a recognised qualification while learning on the job. This is your opportunity to widen your production knowledge while working on content that matters to millions.
You will learn both on‑ and off‑the‑job. During placement you will also attend learning blocks (up to a week at a time) with our learning provider, working toward an industry‑recognised Level 3 Production Assistant qualification. Learning blocks will be a mixture of in‑person and virtual delivery.

For candidates under the age of 19 at 8th September 2026: you must have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualification.

The BBC recognises that some applicants may need to relocate for the role. Relocation support is offered to a limited number of apprentices each year and would be considered for this position, subject to meeting the relocation support qualifying criteria. During the apprenticeship you’ll be supported with career development, employability training, and networking opportunities to help you take your next step – whether that’s at the BBC or elsewhere in the industry. This is a fixed‑term apprenticeship; your contract lasts for the duration of the scheme.
