Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development: Lead the engineering design and refinement of EV chargers and battery storage systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Technical Innovation: Implement modular, upgradeable, and future-proof designs to enhance longevity and market adaptability.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct thorough performance testing, prototyping, and compliance verification to meet regulatory standards.
  • Grid Integration: Support V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) and V2H (Vehicle-to-Home) compatibility, optimizing bidirectional charging solutions.
  • Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with production teams to streamline assembly, materials sourcing, and quality assurance.
  • IoT & Connectivity: Work on CAN bus integration, energy management systems, and smart charging communication protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK and European electrical safety standards for EV charging and energy storage applications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with software, mechanical, and commercial teams to align product functionality with market needs.
  • Sustainability & Efficiency: Prioritize energy efficiency, recyclability, and genuine sustainability in product design.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in power electronics, battery storage, and EV charging technology.
  • Experience with DC-DC converters, inverters, and bidirectional charging systems.
