Position: Senior Strategic Buyer
What You Will Do
- Manage supplier relationships within your category, oversee procurement processes, and drive Group Purchasing initiatives.
- Lead negotiations and re-negotiations of commercial terms, coordinate tenders, RFPs, and RFQs to secure the best service and rates.
- Cultivate positive relationships with providers, ensuring contractual KPIs are met and service delivery issues are resolved promptly.
- Collaborate with providers to meet KPIs, challenge service performance, and seek suitable supplier replacements when necessary.
- Ensure billing accuracy by working with finance teams on accurate and rebill processes for service failures.
- Conduct customer surveys and audits to assess service quality and ensure compliance with Anti-Bribery and Corruption laws.
- Participate in international workshops and conference calls for Group contract negotiations and report on purchasing statistics.
- Engage in ad hoc projects and analyses as requested by leadership.
What You Will Bring
- Motivated and communicative with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Data-driven and analytical with the ability to identify trends across procurement categories.
- Extensive procurement experience, with a focus on indirect procurement areas (IT, Fleet, Facilities) beyond a single category.
- Tender and contract management experience (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and supplier contract handling.
- Fleet/Mobility procurement experience, managing a minimum of 100–200 vehicles.
- Innovation and sustainability focus, with ability to shape procurement processes and drive sustainable initiatives.
- External recognition is a plus (e.g., SIPPs applications).
- Client and supplier liaison experience with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proven negotiation and commercial acumen, with effective communication at all levels.
- Experience with AI analytics to monitor supplier performance, predict issues, and conduct surveys and audits for service quality.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage a varied workload under pressure.
- Strong Excel skills, numeracy, and proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations.
