Job summary

A leading engineering firm near Highbridge is seeking a Process Engineer to oversee production processes and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, experience in process engineering, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include drafting SOPs, commissioning equipment, supporting production, and conducting risk assessments. The role offers a competitive salary of £45k-£52k and a contributory pension.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting SOPs for new processes.
  • Commissioning and optimising new equipment.
  • Liaising with OEM suppliers.
  • Supporting production team where required.
  • Supporting pilot plant trials for NPD.
  • Conducting risk assessments.
  • Working with the maintenance manager to ensure equipment is running correctly.

Skills

Excellent analytical and math skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to persuade others to change existing practices
Strong attention to detail
Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
Proficient with computer and information technology
Knowledge of process engineering software systems
Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Graduate degree preferred
