Job vacancy - Process Engineer - Moulding

Are you a hands-on Process Engineer with a passion for improving manufacturing processes and driving quality from the ground up? We're seeking an experienced Process Engineer (Moulding) to join a dynamic engineering team and support the production of moulded components and overmoulded cables.

About the role:

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of process development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement projects. You'll play a key role in ensuring products are production-ready, processes are efficient, and customer standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support production by identifying and resolving process or quality issues quickly and effectively.
  • Drive APQP activities for new product introductions, including Control Plans, FMEAs, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Coordinate and prepare PPAP documentation and submit ISIRs for new and modified parts.
  • Ensure new and updated tooling is validated and ready for production, covering design, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Assist with tool design for both new and legacy products, and update tool designs using CAD software when needed.
  • Own and update manufacturing routings, process instructions, and tooling for optimal production methods.
  • Take charge of process issue resolution within the mould shop to ensure on-time delivery and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in Process Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with measuring tools and solving production issues.
  • Skilled in process improvements and streamlining production flow.
  • Mechanical background with basic electrical knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of NPI and manufacturing documentation.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with CREO or similar CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of injection/compression moulding processes.
