SandyPines Residential Treatment Center is a 149‑bed Residential Psychiatric Facility that services children and adolescents ages 5 to 17. Located in the beautiful sub‑tropical South Florida, the facility is nestled beside Jonathan Dickinson State Park and is at the county line of Palm Beach and Martin Counties, just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean shores.
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Duties include: assessment of mental‑health needs; development of nursing diagnoses, identification of outcomes and planning/evaluation of nursing care; administration and monitoring of medications and treatments; ensuring safety and consistent therapeutic milieu management; and crisis‑intervention strategies.
Move efficiently enough to meet the needs of several patients and/or rush to provide timely intervention of patient aggression; able to stand, sit and walk during the work shift; able to hear spoken words in a normal vocal range and respond to alarms, codes or other signals; recognize vocal intonation indicating changes in acuity; able to bend, reach and stoop; must write legibly to accurately convey information; able to read instructions and complete documentation and reports; restrain an aggressive patient in a safe and therapeutic manner; lift, position or move patients for procedures or injections; perform activities requiring manual dexterity; able to lift 30 lbs.
