A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Principal Nuclear Graphite Engineer to provide technical leadership on projects aimed at supporting the life extension of nuclear stations. You will develop innovative solutions, liaise with clients, and produce detailed technical reports. The successful candidate will help support life extension of the current AGR fleet of nuclear stations and help develop and deliver a strategy for expanding our client base beyond traditional customers. You will be part of the Structural Analysis and Assessment Team, delivering solutions to real problems and meeting UK energy demands and carbon emissions targets.
The team comprises a broad range of engineering and scientific experts spanning mathematics, physics, structural and mechanical engineering, software development, finite-element stress analysis, and structural integrity analysis and assessment. We provide services to a range of customers, mainly in the nuclear industry, to ensure the economic and safe operation of capital‑intensive plant, from both government and private industry. We also participate in national and international projects and work closely with other parts of Amentum to provide integrated client solutions.
