TheCentral Hawkes Bay District Council is recruiting a Principal Contract and Asset Manager to lead and support the management of its key land transport contracts. In thissenior role, you’ll ensure the Council’s contract, asset and performancemanagement systems are robust, future-focused and aligned with our widerinfrastructure strategy.

Workingclosely with the Land Transport Manager and a wide range of internal andexternal partners, you’ll champion data quality, evidence-based decision-makingand continuous improvements in the way we manage our district’s roading assets. Your leadership will directly support Council’s priorities around AccountableDelivery and Resilient Roading, helping our community thrive.

WhatYou’ll Do

• Lead 추and enhance roading contractand asset management systems, identifying and implementing continuousimprovement opportunities.
• Manage the collection, qualityand maintenance of asset data to support informed decision-making.
• Develop and maintain performancemetrics aligned with key result areas and KPIs.
• Build strong workingrelationships with contract partners, internal teams and asset managementservice providers.
• Support the development of LandTransport management plans, renewals processes and capital worksprogrammes.

WhatYou’ll Bring

• 5+ years’ relevant experience inroad network management - could include contracting, consulting, transportagency or council experience.
• Build strong, positiverelationships at all levels.
• Experienced in contractadministration / management.
• Understand asset managementframeworks and systems.
