Qualifications

  • Relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience as a Vehicle Technician is required.
  • Possession of a MOT licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles.
  • Ensure PDIs are completed to the highest standards and within manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity while delivering exceptional customer service.

We are offering a basic salary between £29,200 - £36,440 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 42 hour working week and an additional over‑performance bonus opportunity.

Key Information

There is no weekend working with this position, every weekend is your own!

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDIs are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first‑time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
  • Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • MOT licence preferred but not essential
