Role

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive, organised, and enthusiastic STEAM Technician to support practical teaching and learning across Science, Art, Computer Science, Robotics and AI, and wider STEAM-related activities. Working closely with the Head of Science, Head of Art, and Head of Computer Science, Robotics and AI, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that practical lessons, experiments, creative projects, and technological activities are well prepared, safely delivered, and inspiring for pupils. As the STEAM provision continues to grow and moves into new and enhanced facilities, the technician will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of learning spaces, systems, and resources that support innovation, creativity, and collaboration.

This is a permanent, term time only position with a proposed start date in the new academic year in September 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain resources, equipment, and spaces for art, technology, and STEAM activities, including robotics, computer science, and creative projects.
  • Assist with lessons, workshops, exhibitions, enrichment activities, and interdisciplinary STEAM initiatives.
  • Maintain organised, safe working environments and support the development and effective use of new STEAM facilities.
  • Contribute to stock management, resource organisation, and practical support for events, trips, and clubs.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, follow all school policies, and engage in ongoing professional development.
