A leading sports memorabilia firm in the United Kingdom is looking for a PR & Communications Manager to support their marketing team. The role involves managing press campaigns, building media relationships, and producing high-quality content aligned with brand voices. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to work with high-profile partners and possess solid project management skills. The position is on-site at their Northampton HQ, with opportunities for mentorship and a focus on enhancing brand visibility.
Memento Exclusives is the leading sports memorabilia specialist and an officially licensed partner of Formula 1®, MotoGP™ and UFC.
Reporting to the Senior PR & Communications Manager and the Head of PR & Marketing, the PR & Communications Manager will play a key role within the Marketing team. You will take on responsibilities within PR and press activity, supporting the Head of PR & Marketing in releasing attention-grabbing campaigns, writing flawless press releases, building media lists and relationships with journalists for pitching and distributing. You must be comfortable working with high profile individuals and will understand and champion the importance of maximising every opportunity in a timely and accurate manner.
We leave no stone unturned in our attempts to achieve the best organic coverage imaginable for our licensed partners and the successful candidate will be able to evidence how they take this approach too. Your primary goal is promoting exclusive and unique products in the best light to sports fans. Experience of increasing visibility and engagement is appealing, but being able to prove a measurable impact affecting sales will really make you stand out. We are a commercially minded business entrusted by some of the most exciting brands in the world to present their officially licensed products in the manner they deserve.
You will be expected to utilise internal workflow management software (SharePoint, Monday etc.) and provide reports to your line-manager on the ongoing success of PR and communications efforts, using these insights to make recommendations for adapting strategy and staying up to date with best practice.
Alongside core responsibilities, you will also help train and mentor junior staff, as well as providing support and guidance to the Communications Executive. This will include assisting them with proofing and stepping in to help with wider copywriting needs when required, including (but not limited to) the creation of online product descriptions and email copy.
You will also assist the Head of PR with a quarterly internal company newsletter and take the lead on designated copy for premium auction listings, ensuring these read as a compelling narrative story, finding the ‘why’ behind the ‘buy’.
Please note, this is an on-site role at our Northampton HQ, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
