Job summary

A leading hire provider in the UK is seeking a Mobile Powered Access Engineer for their Newport location, working Monday to Friday. Responsibilities include servicing, refurbishing, and maintaining powered access equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior engineering experience, ideally CAP registered, and be knowledgeable about brands such as Niftylift and Genie. Qualifications

  • Prior engineering experience within powered access equipment.
  • Ideally CAP registered.
  • Experience with Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie, and JLG.

Mobile Powered Access Engineer – Newport – Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00 – 45 hours.

Responsibilities

As a Mobile Powered Access Engineer covering Newport and surrounding areas, you will be responsible for the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of our powered access equipment at customer sites. You will attend emergency breakdown calls as well as scheduled service maintenance, ensuring our customers use safe and reliable equipment so they can count on us to deliver customer excellence.

What you’ll need:
  • Ideally CAP registered.
  • Previous experience working on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG.
  • Experience estimating repairs with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read electrical/hydraulic drawings and understand both systems.
  • Prior engineering experience within powered access.
  • Ability to support your business unit/team in delivering our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
