Your responsibilities
  • Ensure all purchase orders raised reflect demand and forecasted requirements against agreed stock levels and order quantities using lean Plan For Every Part (PFEP) techniques.
  • Ensure efficient inventory control with accurate forecasting and timely ordering.
  • Confirm purchase order and maintain vendor promise dates in the electronic system so that sales order dates are maintained to latest promise.
  • Build and maintain crucial supplier relationships, negotiating optimal prices and terms.
  • Review customer order book and expedite supplier purchase orders to ensure sales orders are shipped on time.
  • Expedite with suppliers when required and communicate all potential issues to internal customers/stakeholders.
Who we are looking for
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and managing inventory levels.
  • Skilled in driving improvements and using PFEP techniques.
  • Strong in managing supplier relationships and internal interactions.
  • Capable of expediting orders and ensuring accuracy in supplier acknowledgements.
  • Ability to evaluate data using Excel to identify improvement areas of supplier performance.
  • Problem solving capabilities and experience.
Ideally, you will also have
  • A Business Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A CIPS qualification or working towards one.
