Qualifications

Job description

Murphy is a leading international engineering and construction company. We specialise in a variety of sectors including infrastructure, transportation, and energy.

What you will be doing:
  • Fabricating, installing and pressure testing small-bore pipework
  • Using a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes as well as installation of pipework.
  • Install and assemble fittings, valves, manifolds and related components according to drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all times
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out
  • Carry out pressure testing on pipework to PT-1
  • Carry out instrumentation and pipe work upgrades for gas distribution for Cadent, Northern gas network and National grid AGIs and National grid compressor sites
Who we are looking for:
  • Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (you will be required to provide these papers) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture, installation, and use of associated equipment
  • Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH and Risk Assessments
  • Proven experience as aPipefitteror similar within an industrial or commercial environment.
  • SCO 1 & 2 (EUSR)
  • Experience with Swagelok Fittings and Installation
