A global sports organization is seeking a Photo Editor responsible for curating a high-quality image library and managing imagery during events. This role includes selecting and editing photos in real-time, writing captions, and organizing images for quick access. Candidates should have experience in sports photography and proficiency with Apple and editing software. The position requires some international travel and flexible hours, especially during tournaments, and involves collaboration with team members to ensure high-quality visual storytelling.
Now in its fourth season, the LIV Golf League features 13 teams competing for both an Individual and Team title at premier golf courses across the world. As the first truly global golf League, LIV Golf is constantly innovating to set a new standard in sport and redefine the fan experience through the lens of music, culture, and entertainment, while growing the game of golf for a new era of players and fans around the world. Headquartered in New York and London, the League holds events in cities across Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Africa, with broadcasts reaching nearly 900 million households in more than 200 international markets and territories. LIV Golf was designed to expand the sport on a global level, bring new audiences to the game, create new value within the golfing ecosystem, and enhance the game’s societal impact far beyond the course through the League’s Impact & Sustainability efforts. In 2022, LIV Golf launched The International Series, which features 10 elevated events in world-class destinations. Sanctioned by the Asian Tour, these events offer a pathway for leading professional and amateur golfers from around the world into the LIV Golf League and the Majors.
Founded in 2021 and officially launched in 2022 with the eight-event LIV Golf Invitational Series, 2025 was our third 14-event season as the LIV Golf League.
The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; four days, 72 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous Team and Individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 900 million homes across 200 international territories, showcase world-class competition happening at LIV Golf’s 14 global events. Music entertainment, food, live concerts, family-friendly activations and offer a festival-like atmosphere. The Photo Editor will be at the heart of crafting and communicating the visual story that defines the brand. As Photo Editor, your role will be pivotal in curating a comprehensive and high-quality image library, blending non-event and event responsibilities to capture the essence of the brand. This position will involve some international travel. During events, there will be some required work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during tournament hours. The non-event schedule follows traditional workdays.
Select, edit, and process imagery in real time during and after tournaments (second selects) to timely delivery of high-quality visuals.
Write accurate and concise captions and apply metadata to all images using industry-standard IPTC formatting.
Review incoming photos to ensure they meet quality standards before archiving.
Tag and organise images for quick retrieval and proper archiving across both local systems and digital asset management platforms.
Upload edited imagery via FTP
Distribute approved images to internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders.
Assist with player/team image approvals
Support photographers on-site by assisting with image workflow, file management, and adherence to creative direction or shot lists.
Respond quickly to image requests and deliver files in the correct format, resolution, and metadata structure.
Help maintain coverage consistency across events by assisting with shot list development and ensuring photographers have clear direction.
Support coverage for all LIV Golf tournaments and assist in the editing and delivery of imagery for other Majors throughout the season.
Assist in the setup of the mobile office at events
Ensure proper connectivity is provided on-site for Stills and Motion
Ensure appropriate desk space and power is ready for the team
Ensure proper safe equipment storage is provided for all vendors
Ensure all accreditation is correct for vendors on-site
Track usage of commercial partners and sponsors for the league and teams
Assist editors with metadata and code replacements
Proficiency with Apple computers and professional software including Photo Mechanic, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and FTP tools.
Strong understanding of photography, editorial standards, and digital imaging workflows.
Solid caption writing and copyediting skills with attention to detail and speed.
Ability to identify compelling images under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Experience working in live sports or editorial photography environments.
Familiarity with IPTC standards and professional metadata tagging practices.
Travel required to all LIV Golf tournaments (Domestic and International)
Additional events as needed, such as majors, media week, etc.
During tournaments: Work primarily Monday through Sunday, with long flexible hours depending on event needs.
Non-event weeks: Traditional Monday–Friday schedule.
The role requires frequent communication, consistent computer-based work, and the ability to operate quickly and accurately under pressure as a team and independently.
