Phase One Trainee Teacher – SEND (Special Needs) | Level 4 Qualification

- Serve as a Phase One Trainee Teacher, supporting students aged 11–19 with severe learning disabilities (SLD), profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and autistic spectrum disorders (ASD).
- Be based at a specialist school in Uxbridge.
- Gain hands‑on classroom experience working alongside experienced teachers and teaching assistants in small, high‑support classes (average class size ~8).
- Learn in well‑resourced environments, including sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pool, and life‑skills area.
- Receive structured, salaried training through Grad2Teach’s Level 4 qualification (Phase One) pathway.
- Progress to Phase Two, where you will undertake independent teaching leading to a PGCE with Coventry University, aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF) and the national Teaching Standards.

Training & Progression
- You will start with Grad2Teach’s Phase One salaried route, working towards a Level 4 qualification.
- Your training is informed by the Core Content Framework (CCF) and aligned with national Teaching Standards.
- Upon successful completion of Phase One, you will progress to Phase Two, where you will teach independently and work toward a PGCE awarded by Coventry University.
- Throughout, you will benefit from structured mentorship, observations, and reflective practice, to build your confidence and professional skills.
