Working hours

Monday 6:00 am – Friday 19:00 (24h cover needed incl. overnight care). When travelling with the family, the nanny will work six days per week.

Detailed description of the job

A warm and welcoming family based in Holland Park/Kensington is seeking an exceptionally experienced nanny to care for their newborn, due at the end of January. The family already employs a Russian‑speaking nanny for their 17‑month‑old daughter; this position focuses exclusively on the new baby.

The role begins in June, following the maternity nurses’ handover. A short trial is planned for January, and occasional ad‑hoc work may be offered between February and June.

This is a live‑in role at least until the baby turns one year old, with the nanny sleeping in the same room as the baby. After the first year, there may be an opportunity to discuss a live‑out arrangement.

Responsibilities & duties

Provide comprehensive care for a newborn, including feeding, changing, sleep training, and early development activities. Support the family during travel, working a flexible schedule as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20+ years of senior nanny experience, particularly with newborns.
• A gentle, calm and confident approach.
• Experience in high‑net‑worth, semi‑formal households.
• Russian speaking and very strong English as a second language.
• Excellent knowledge of London, ideally Holland Park/Kensington.
• Flexibility to travel: the family spends 6–8 weeks in Monaco during July–August and approximately six weeks in the Caribbean from mid‑December to late January. Willing to work over Christmas.
• No allergies to cats, as they are part of the household.
