Full-time | Hybrid & systems performance role | Global travel
If you’re an engineer with deep expertise in hybrid systems, control logic, performance algorithms and data interpretation — this is one of the most influential technical roles in our Hypercar Programme.
As a Performance Controls Engineer, you’ll be responsible for optimising the hybrid systems, control strategies, deployment, recovery behaviour and software-driven performance parameters of the Hypercar.
You’ll work at the intersection of data, systems, software and performance — shaping how the car behaves dynamically and ensuring the hybrid package works in harmony with the mechanical and aerodynamic platform.
Owning hybrid performance data analysis and correlation.
Monitoring deployment, recovery, state-of-charge and hybrid efficiency during sessions.
Working with the manufacturer on system updates, calibration and software releases.
Supporting the Race and Performance Engineers on hybrid-influenced setup and performance decisions.
Running hybrid tools, dashboards, modelling and live performance monitoring.
Diagnosing hybrid behaviour anomalies and ensuring safe, compliant operation.
Contributing to run plans, performance documents and hybrid-related debriefs.
Supporting long-term performance strategy around energy management and consistency.
Strong controls, software, electronics or hybrid systems engineering background.
Experience in hybrid or electrified motorsport environments (F1, FE, LMDh, WEC).
Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly.
A disciplined, calm, analytical approach under pressure.
Understanding of the safety‑critical nature of hybrid systems and HV compliance.
A passion for extracting every advantage from software and controls.
This is where performance meets intelligence — and where the smartest engineers thrive.
