People Lead Mobilisation

Role Purpose: The People Lead supports Excellerate Services UK during the mobilisation of a new cleaning contract, with a strong focus on TUPE transfer management, union engagement, and assisting Managers with early-stage Employee Relations matters. The role ensures colleague transitions are legally compliant, well‑coordinated, and delivered in line with ESUK values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the full TUPE process for incoming colleagues.
  • Request, receive, and verify Employee Liability Information (ELI) from outgoing contractors.
  • Review all data to ensure accuracy around pay, hours, patterns, holiday entitlement, and T&Cs.
  • Identify risks, inconsistencies, or missing information and elevate as required.
  • Plan, organise, and participate in colleague consultation meetings.
  • Create TUPE trackers, communication packs, consultation notes, and FAQs.
  • Work closely with Payroll and Shared Services to ensure accurate onboarding of transferred colleagues.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with recognised trade unions.
  • Participate in union meetings relating to transfers, colleague concerns, or operational change.
  • Support union consultation processes and ensure ESUK is represented professionally.
  • Escalate potential disputes or complex issues to the People Director.
  • Support Managers with early‑stage ER situations such as informal performance discussions, attendance concerns, minor conduct issues, or colleague conflicts.
  • Advise Managers on ESUK policies and guide them through initial process steps.
  • Assist with gathering documentation for formal ER processes where required.
  • Maintain accurate ER documentation and update case trackers.
  • Provide clear, timely communication to colleagues throughout the mobilisation period.
  • Support colleague briefing sessions, welcome meetings, and drop‑in forums.
  • Be a visible and approachable People representative to support colleague questions and concerns.
  • Help maintain a positive colleague experience during transition into ESUK.
  • Maintain accurate TUPE logs, ER trackers, consultation notes, and data records.
  • Prepare weekly people updates or reports for the Mobilisation Manager or People Director.
  • Support preparation of mobilisation timelines and people‑focused risk summaries.
  • Handle all sensitive colleague information in accordance with GDPR and ESUK standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong practical experience managing TUPE transfers within cleaning, FM, or similar service environments.
  • Experience working directly with trade unions.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, TUPE regulations, and ER best practice.
  • Confidence supporting Managers on early‑stage ER matters.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight mobilisation timelines.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office and able to manage trackers and reporting.

Location: Shoreditch, London

Salary: £60,000 (annual)

Fixed Term: 8 months, interim role.
