Job description

Willmott Dixon has an exciting new opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice. This is a great opportunity to work in our People team whilst being supported to study a relevant apprenticeship qualification such as Business Administration . This is a full time role and you will be expected to work in our head office based in Letchworth a minimum of 4 days per week with some occasional travel required to other offices including London and Hitchin. You will be supported to work from home or attend college to support your apprenticeship qualification on the other day.

As an Apprentice People Experience Administrator you will play a vital role in delivering a supportive and people-focused experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This role is central to ensuring that all people-related processes are carried out efficiently, accurately, and with a personal touch.

The Project

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new starters, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Process employee changes, manage leaver procedures, and maintain accurate records throughout the employee journey.
  • Act as a key point of contact for general people and benefits-related queries, providing timely, people focused, and clear responses.
  • Deliver a high quality, personal service that reflects a people first approach, ensuring every interaction is professional and personable.
  • Provide high quality people administration support to the business
  • Work closely with other PX Hub team members and stakeholders to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery.
  • Build trusted relationships with the local teams and key stakeholders
Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential Skills we're looking for:

  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and supporting others

Strong general education at A level or equivalent qualification ( level 3) and must have GCSE English and Maths at Grade 5 or above.

Experience with HR systems

  • Experience or interest in working within a People team
  • NVQ Level 3, CIPD Level 3 or equivalent
