Pensions Application Support Analyst

About the role

On a daily basis you will be providing support for Lumera’s suite of leading policy administration products to our clients. You will also be responsible for the deployment of ad hoc software fixes. You will be liaising with clients directly and also Lumera staff at all levels to ensure issues are resolved successfully. This is an ideal position for someone with a pensions administration background who wishes to move into a more technical role.

What you'll be doing:
  • Provide support for Lumera’s suite of Products to our internal and external customers, resolving business application problems within service level agreements (SLA)
  • Writing SQL queries to resolve issues and improve existing functionality
  • Peer reviewing and testing colleagues’ work
  • Record and track all problems/requests reported to the Support desk
  • Maintain and create support desk documentation
  • Become familiar with and support new technologies and software as and when they are introduced to the company
  • Share knowledge and best practices
To thrive in this role, you will need:
Essential
  • Experience of working with Defined Contribution Master Trusts
  • UK pensions knowledge and financial services background
  • The ability to communicate well at all levels
  • To have client facing experience
  • To be a self-motivator and help others to achieve goals
  • The ability to work well under pressure and remain focused
  • The ability to work within a team and make a positive contribution, but still able to work independently
  • Experience of supporting software applications
  • SQL Query writing and document writing skills
  • Microsoft SQL Server and MS Office experience
  • Proven analytical and problem solver abilities
  • The skills to create and update documentation to a high level standard
Desirable
  • Some pensions calculations knowledge
  • Experience working within a fast-paced technical support team
  • Pensioner Payroll experience
