We are looking for a highly organised, experienced, self‑motivated, reliable, efficient and proactive Payroll Assistant to join our team in Banbury.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely payment of group salaries whilst keeping accurate and up‑to‑date time and attendance data for all Newly Weds Foods sites: Ossett, Corby, Shirebrook and Banbury and supporting European payroll activities for up to 1000 employees.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Support the processing of 5 UK payrolls
  • Be the main point of contact with third party payroll agents for European payrolls
  • Month‑end accruals
  • Processing P11Ds
  • Process P46 car submissions
  • Internal reporting
  • Ordering of all payroll stationary i.e. payslips, P60’s etc.
  • Raising purchase orders for Childcare Vouchers
Person Specification:
  • Previous experience of running a UK payroll, including processing overtime is essential
  • Experience of manufacturing/shift patterns is desirable
  • Experience of working in a confidential environment
  • Excellent Microsoft skills, but in particular, Excel
  • Good understanding of pension auto‑enrolment rules
  • Excellent attention to detail
Additional Information:

This is an office based role. Working hours are 08.30‑17.00 (Monday – Friday), with 1 hour lunch break, however flexibility is required depending on business need.
