About the Role – Purchase Ledger Clerk (Part-Time)

We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and organised Part‑Time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our busy finance team at Drive Motor Retail Aldershot.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our purchase ledger, processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently while supporting the wider accounts department with administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and promptly
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepanciesPreparing and processing supplier payments
  • Managing invoice queries and liaising with suppliers and internal departments
  • Assisting with month‑end tasks and reporting where required
  • Maintaining organised and up‑to‑date ledger records

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role (essential)
  • Strong numeracy and administrative skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • A positive and professional attitude, with a commitment to supporting the wider finance team

Experience within the automotive or retail sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
